When you feel like giving up, you are missing out on what God has to offer. There are so many things that demand our attention and while it may be good to leave behind unhealthy relationships, jobs, and habits, it’s also important to keep fighting for what is good and right. Fight for marriage, fight for your kids, fight for your health – don’t give up! Know that you are not alone, and know that we are in the hands of God- He will provide us with strength when we need it.
This morning my I won’t give up really has everything to do with my commit to stay fit journey. I began strong and feeling great. Of course I allowed something to hinder and get in the way of that. Today I decide to step back in. Preparing my mind for what’s to come. Will it be easy… nope not at all. Will it be worth it, yes it will.
You see this is something that takes place in the life of many. We start a many of things but we either give up or just walk away. God does not intend for His children to do such. This can be awesome applied to many areas in our lives. For example we decide to go back to school and after six months a year we start to say this is too much and we slowly start to turn away, or what about in a marriage… first year it’s all good peachy, sweet, sexy and so on… year two, three, ten or twenty it’s just not what expected it to be so it’s easiest to just end it.
Well I have news for you. It’s not suppose to be that way. You see God has designed us to finish what we start.
2 Chronicles 15:7
7 But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
We must keep this in our minds at all times especially when we are at that point of walking away or quitting.
God Finishes What He Begins.
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
It’s not an option!
He gives you strength!
You can do this!
