Matthew 24:8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
The moment you realize you have been working on something and you never know when it’s just going to “Suddenly” happen. When it’s going to be complete and you will see the fulfillment of it.
When we find out where expecting the unexpected. The wait for it, the not knowing all about it, questions and concerns.
As women we find out we are going to conceive and all sorts of things just run through our mind. It may have been that planned pregnancy or even the unplanned for all it is different there is never one truly the same. From day one it’s truly unique, the morning sickness, leg cramps, back pains, gassy, bloated, headaches, heartburn, soar feet, toothache, loss of hair, insomnia well you get where I’m coming from. It’s different all around, carrying low, carrying high, in the front or on the back you get me right… or maybe no symptoms at all… that’s a rare. And then “Suddenly” her water breaks.
Well this is what we have been created for. Our body is perfectly plumbed for it. It’s just knowing who needs to be around for that “Suddenly moment”
Well what about the God given pregnancy. The one that looks oh so impossible. Will I ever really see it. That promise that one day it will be right before me. Let me mention a few…
That individual with a vision that seems so real but yet unreal, so far away, so hard to master, so many questions along the way and all that can be heard is God saying don’t ask questions and just follow my lead. Loosing it all and God is saying trust me in the process you will see.
Or the recently married retired marine that has this only desire to be a better wife, a better mother but her mind is torn on structure and discipline. Her heart desires a normal life full of peace and joy.
Here’s another one the divorced police officer that has raised her children and continues educating herself to complete her masters in Christian counseling but feels as if it was just too much and not sure how much longer she can take all the pressure of being that single mom with two children, a full time career as an officer and still focus on completing her masters. All the long hours of studying and preparing.
Another one, the mother who works a full time job and has two little ones and has this desire to do so much more but is unsure if she is being the best role model for her children and also a good wife to her husband.
The women who has seven children and continues to believe in her passion to coach others in there life and be of encouragement and accountability to many but finds herself in a place of limitations almost homeless but chooses to keep moving forward and trust God.
The pastor of a small congregation that still has to work a full-time job be a husband or a wife and a parent as well. Wants the best for the people and sees what God has promised and no matter what is seen before his/her eyes continues to endure that lonely place that God places one in just to encounter more of Him.
Or the one that suddenly lost her spouse in an accident and with that knowing that she must remain put together for her children whom she will have to raise as well as her career and the ministry must remain together as it was a God given assignment.
Last but not least the one that has had to learn to love just as God Loves to share that love with someone who has hurt them over and over but God continues to say just a bit longer this is only going to make you stronger. That marriage that seems hopeless yet God is saying leave that up to me.
These are just a few of those
In the Birthing Room. Many of us today find ourselves there. One thing for sure is that not everyone can be in this room with us. We must learn and nurture our surroundings. Not everyone can see the “big picture” not everyone has the same intentions or motives.
In the room there needs to be encouragement, patience and understanding. Also there needs to be strength, wisdom and guidance, along with comfort and also the harsh reality that you my dear have been uniquely created for a time such as this so put your big girl panties in place and go in for her another round or preparing for what’s about to take place.
For you should be hearing these things whispered in your ear as your hair is being gently stroked.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12
Just a bit of what’s in the Birthing room. Remain in that posture in that place knowing that for those who love the Lord all things workout for our best.
To be continued …. as it’s birthed!
